~ Winter and Snowman Craft Poems~

#1

My wonderful little snowman
Has a message from his heart
To enjoy life each day
With laughter from the start

Mr snowman was determined
to get a tan this year
so he stood in the sunshine
dismissing all his fear.
His friends were quite concerned
they bought sunscreen and a hat
but Mr snowman scoffed
I don't need none of that!
Later I went to check on him
and what do you think I found?
Mr snowman was now just a puddle
who'd fallen to the ground.
I think you know the moral
this story is trying to say
it's best to just be yourself
than end up in total disarray.

The snowman stood outside
feeling the sun upon his head,
he knew that he was melting
and yet he felt no dread.
For all things come to pass
and every season has it's time,
and he'd had a cheerful winter
while he was in his prime.
I packed him in this bag
before he vanished away,
to give you a tasty treat
to enjoy this Christmas day.

The snowman was melting
so I grabbed the shovel fast
tossed him in this bag
so bits of him would last.
So enjoy this yummy treat
of a silly melted man
who might have lasted longer
by not wanting a suntan!

Some say this little snowman
Wasn't very smart
He melted from the warmth
He placed inside your heart
For everyone knows snowman
Warm us head to toe
'Cause every time we see one
They set our hearts aglow!

I built myself a snowman
And loved him oh so much!
I didn't want the two of us
To not remain in touch
So I thought I'd put him up
Inside this little jar
And when I need to look at him
I needn't wander far!
Still I'm just not certain
That he got what he deserves.
It sure is strange to think of him
As just Snowman Preserves!

I planted little snowman seeds
Out by the garden gate
And waited very patiently
(They grow at a slow rate!)
Then one day they sprouted
And I watched them as they grew,
Becoming Mr. Snowman
And his little family, too!
When winter winds stopped blowing
And the air began to warm,
I saw that snowman family
Begin to lose their form!
They meant so very much to me
They got what they deserve!
I chose to make that family
Into snowman preserves!

Snowball SOAP
Get some ivory soap and soak it in water over night, then
break it into halves. Give it to the children to mold like Playdough into a snowball. When it dries it flakes up like a real snowball. I put it in baggies and added the following poem to a topper.

This Snowball soap,
has been made just for you.
To help you welcome in Winter,
And keep your hands clean too!
